Sveti Jure Mountain

drive at your own risk

One hour of waiting in line at the entrance to Biokovo National Park. At 7.00 p.m. the gates opened in front of us and we were the last group of cars to enter the park. Then a dozen or so kilometres along a narrow road until we reached Skywalk Biokovo – a glass observation deck overlooking the panorama of the Makarska Riviera. Probably no one will be surprised that the Sveti Jure mountain is crowded with tourists. After taking a few photos, we quickly rolled up to drive on and capture the setting sun at the top of Sveti Jure Mountain. We encountered a handful of cars at the TV tower. You could say that the summit was all for us. Certainly, these were wonderful moments that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

During our second trip to Croatia, we learned from the Lonely Planet – Croatia guide*. Contrary to other guides, none of them has such specific information about a given country. Each guide primarily describes the basic information about the selected region and presents suggestions of sightseeing routes tailored to the preferences of the reader. Therefore, there are options for active people, but also for those who love to stay in one place for a long time. We will definitely be buying more Lonely Planet guides.
